A career in flying?

Why learn to fly?

Duncan Hui was born on 22nd March 1997 in Kowloon Tong, Hong Kong.

 

 

Born Hui King Him, he has been known as Duncan from a very young age.

 

 

In November 2012, he moved to the UK to continue his education at Royal Russell School in Croydon, London and while here Duncan decided to pursue one of his boyhood dreams: learning to fly.

 

 

Duncan began his training with AirFirst flying school at Blackbushe Airport near Reading, at 15. By 19 he had acquired his EASA (European Aviation Safety Agency) Private Pilot Licence.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

All while studying for his GCSEs and A-Levels.

 

 

Now 20, Duncan can fly two models of light aircraft: the Cessna 152 and the Piper PA28. He continues to learn to fly more and more advanced aircraft while he studies Mehanical Engineering at the University of Bath.

 

 

With over 90 hours worth of flight time in his log, Duncan has flown as far as Southen, Lydd, Gloucester, Bristol and the Isle of Wight.
